What to Bring to Your Treatment Program at Metamorphosis Centre for Change
To make your stay at Metamorphosis Centre for Change as comfortable and seamless as possible, please bring the following essential items. This list is designed to ensure you have everything you need for a supportive and productive recovery experience.
Essential Documents and Identification
- Provincial Health Card (for any necessary medical visits)
- Private Insurance Card (if applicable, including your name and coverage details)
- Social Services Documentation (Ontario Works & Ontario Disability Support Program – bring your most recent benefit slips, including Dental and Drug coverage information)
Medications
- All Prescribed Medications – in original containers provided by the pharmacy; any liquid medications must remain sealed
- Over-the-Counter Medications and sealed supplements
Clothing and Personal Essentials
- Comfortable Clothing (pack enough for one week; laundry facilities are available)
- Slippers or Indoor Shoes for added comfort
- Sleepwear for restful nights
- Fitness Gear (shorts, track pants, running shoes, etc. for physical activity)
- Appropriate Seasonal Outerwear (such as a rain jacket, snow boots, or coat, depending on the weather)
Toiletries
- Toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, and any other essential toiletries
Additional Personal Items
- Books (appropriate reading materials; please note inappropriate content may be confiscated)
- Preloaded MP3 Player (*must be offline without Wi-Fi, camera, or recording features)
- Cigarettes (if applicable, a 30-day supply to be stored securely)
- Money for Incidentals – we recommend a $500 prepaid credit card for medical or miscellaneous expenses
Cell Phone Policy
- Cell Phone – will be securely stored and accessible for one hour each weekday during designated phone times.

What NOT to Bring to Your Treatment Program at Metamorphosis Centre for Change
To ensure a safe, focused, and supportive environment for all clients, we ask that you refrain from bringing the following items to our facility. Please review this list carefully to help create an optimal experience for your treatment journey.
Prohibited Items
1. Electronics:
- Laptops (exceptions may apply; please inquire in advance)
- Smart Watches (strictly not allowed)
- Other personal electronics, such as gaming systems, DVD players, or movies
2. Inappropriate or Offensive Clothing:
- Clothing that promotes or is suggestive of alcohol or drug use
- Any clothing with messages of sexism, hate, racism, or homophobia
3. Drug-Related Items:
- Drug paraphernalia of any kind
- Mouthwash or toiletries containing alcohol
- Hand sanitizers and other alcohol-based products
4. Weapons and Dangerous Items:
- Weapons, including pocket knives or other sharp objects
- Heating pads or electric blankets
5. Valuable or Expensive Belongings:
- Valuable jewelry or high-cost items
- Large quantities of money for safety reasons
6. Recording and Photography Equipment:
- Cameras, video equipment, or any device capable of recording audio/video
7. Toiletries and Personal Care Items with Alcohol:
- Cologne, aftershave, or perfume containing alcohol
- Aerosol products, such as hairspray
8. Food and Beverages:
- All food and drinks (we provide nutritious meals and snacks during your stay)
9. Pornographic Material:
- Pornography of any kind is strictly prohibited
